Transforming Lives One Special Olympics Bharat Event at a Time

We at Special Olympics Bharat of UP are committed to organizing sporting events for people with intellectual disability so that they can enjoy the benefits of. These strong ‘mission’ underpins the work of the global Special Olympics Bharat movement, providing properly structured programs where children and adults with intellectual disabilities get sports training and participate in competitions all year round. We seek to make the planet a better place, one in which every single person can express their abilities and live to the maximum. Your donations helps carry out this important work, which is centered around the theme of acceptance and changing people through sports. Help us bring about this change.

Engaging in all sporting activities of the Special Olympics Bharat

Medical

People living with intellectual disabilities are more likely to experience negative health outcomes and inequality, and health services are often not accessible to them.

Education

For the sake of the vision we bear, we empower youth, educators, trainers, families, and communities to become bastions of inclusion.

Sport Center

There are around four million athletes and Unified partners, and approximately one million coaches and supporters in over 200 accredited programs.

Training

Sports skill development and confidence building is given focused training to more than 30 sports to athletes with intellectual disabilities by special olympics bharat.

Explorer Olympic

Special Olympics Bharat engage over 40 million athletes across more than 30 sports disciplines, along with 1 million coaches and volunteers.

Championship

The Special Olympics Bharat has touched the lives of over four million athletes and Unified partners, conducting more than 100,000 events in 30 sports.

Our History

The evolution of Special Olympics Bharat UP begins in the 1960s, when Eunice Shriver ideates what she calls Camp Shriver, a very personal initiative aimed at changing the perception of those with intellectual disabilities. The sprouts of the Special Olympics Bharat movement can be dated back to 1968 and has nurtured into a worldwide phenomenon for consideration and dignity. From its base in Chicago, this organization has grown to be an international champion for athletes with learning difficulties. At the moment, however, Special Olympics Bharat UP lays particular emphasis on the organization of sporting games and events for children suffering from mental challenges as a way of providing them with life-altering chances to make play and empowerment positive. We kindly ask for your donations in support of this worthy cause. And while you are at it, let us say thank you for your generosity and kind-heartedness as we all try to see to it that the course is completed.
